Notes:
His joint heirs and executors were to be his son Charles John and his wife Elinor John, subject to the following:

He left 1s to his daughter Ann John, wife of John James of Llysydefaid, a carpenter.
He left 1s to each of his sons David and John.
He left £10 and 2 pairs of bedclothes and a feather bed to each of his daughters Mary and Hannah. (They were to have ‘common house furniture’).

He wished Mary and Hannah to have their home with Charles and Elinor during their single life.

If Elinor was to marry a second time, Charles was to give her 1s only. If she did not remarry, she was not to give away any of her share (or leave it in her own will) to anyone except Charles.

The will was witnessed by John Lewis, William James and B. Davies (his brother in law) all of Little Newcastle.
